  1. Which tank works best?
All our tanks function the same. They all have the identical filter systems, therefore, size of tank is totally dependent upon the room available, weight considerations and the amount of water you want to utilize

  2. How much do the tanks weigh?
The 30 gallon weighs approximately 55# the 40 approximately 66# and the 50 gallon 76# empty.

  3. Does the tank come complete?
Yes, all you need to do is add water, chemicals and hook to a 12V power supply.

  4. What type of filter system does it have?
All of our tanks have a filter compartment and a bait compartment. We do not build, and will not build, a top filtered tank. Water gravity flows from the bait compartment up and through a filter basket where it is returned to the bait compartment from the filter compartment. It is returned to the bait compartment through a valve we purchase from Flow-rite Industries. This valve has an air venturi in the top of it which displaces the water and oxygen at mid tank level. Direction of flow is adjustable. We stopped putting spray bars in tanks five plus years ago. These valves create an excellent water flow current in the tank while supplying an excellent amount of oxygen. They are quiet, very friendly on scales and they will not clog. Our pump is in the filter compartment and thus only is subject to clean filtered water, not all the debris in the bait compartment.

  5. What type of filter material do you recommend?
Poly-fil is what we recommend. It does and excellent job of filtering, is readily available and inexpensive. If one chooses, charcoal elements may also be used.

  6. How many baits will it hold?
As a rule of thumb, on five to eight inch shad, we recommend one bait per gallon. (and everyone adheres to that right??)

  7. Are they easy to take care of?
Yes, the lid is removable for easy cleaning and servicing the filter. Polyethylene cleans up with water and a soft cloth very easily. If you do not use an abrasive cleaner, the tanks will remain looking new for a remarkable period of time.

  8. Are they UV stabilized?
We are purchasing only the best High Density Polyethylene UV stabilized material. I emphasis the word "stabilized" as that is just what the plastic industry will tell you it means. They will tell you that no plastic is UV "proof" and anyone that tells you different is not speaking the truth. Any chance you have to store any plastic product, regardless of whos or what it is out of direct sunlight when not in use will prolong is life.

  9. What type of insulation do you use?
We insulate with 7/8 inch of Polystyrene plus dead air space. Our tanks are easy to cool and maintain temperature very well due to this product. We do not use inexpensive Styrofoam from the discount centers.

  10. Are your fitting Stainless Steel?
All of our fittings, except the knob, are Stainless Steel. The knobs are chrome plated.

  11. What type pump do you use?
We are installing 500 GPH Shur-flo pumps. Shur-flo has been in the pump business for years and we have found their pumps very durable.

  12. How do I order a tank?
We take most orders over the phone and accept both Visa and MasterCard. Orders received with a cashier check are shipped the same day as received. Orders with personal checks are shipped when we have verification the check has cleared.

  13. How much are shipping charges?
Current shipping charges are listed on the pricing sheet of the web page for all tanks. If you have questions regarding UPS charges, you are welcome to send us a pre-paid shipping label. Call us for dimensions and weight which UPS will need.
